Jo Koy is a Filipino-American comedian, known from guest starring on E!'s Chelsea Lately and his specials on Comedy Central and Netflix. He tours across the US and internationally, and has a podcast titled The Koy Po(n)d. He also reached #1 on the Billboard charts for his stand-up comedy album, Live From Seattle, a special he self-funded that eventually led to his deal with Netflix. I just recently found Jo Koy, after watching his newest special, In His Elements on Netflix which was released on June 12th. And logline recently had the opportunity to chat with Jo Koy about In His Elements which we will be posting to the site and our Instagram soon.

I really enjoy Jo Koy’s comedy! It’s really relatable, speaking as another Filipino-American. A lot of his jokes are about Filipino culture, where he finds the humor not only in the differences but also the similarities between Filipino culture and other Asian and non-Asian cultures. Thus you don’t have to just be Filipino to enjoy his work. In his latest special, In His Elements, Jo Koy takes the audience to the Philippines and highlights many local and US born Filipinos. He is a great ambassador of the Philippines and Filipinos all around and we are fortunate to have had the opportunity to interview him. We can’t wait to share that interview with you. And now that we’ve “met”, I'm probably gonna go binge all of his comedy specials. And by “probably”, I mean I will.
