This is an SNL sketch in the early 2000s and is probably most famous for the song “Hide and Seek” by Imogen Heap. That song is most famous for the iconic, “mmm whatcha say” lyric. This sketch is hilarious. I die laughing everytime, wink wink. The subject matter of the sketch is rather depressing, involving multiple shootings and deaths. But no one really stays dead and it’s still funny. It’s a parody of an episode of the teen drama The OC, which had a similar shooting with the same jarring “mmm whatcha say” underscore. It was even funnier, with the sheer amount of drama that the actors portrayed it with. This sketch parodies that with that song, which I just got stuck in your head, underscoring every time someone gets shot. Which is a lot. People are rising from the dead, predictions are made, and above all, you laugh your heart out. The cast of this sketch is amazing, the pinnacle of the 2000s SNL cast, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Kristin Wiig, Fred Armisen, Jason Sudeikis, and everyone’s favorite actor, Shia LeBouf. If you like dark humor that is also absurdist comedy, watch this. It’s actually one of SNL’s best sketches.
