Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the funniest shows we’ve ever watched. The incredible ensemble does a great job with their specific characters, and we love all the different friendships and relationships in the series. These characters, we think, sets B-99 apart from other shows. While The Office is a very hilarious show, it can sometimes be too awkward for some, and Parks and Rec may not be awkward enough(no hate on either show, we love them both). Michael Schur found a wonderful balance between the two that really makes B-99 the hit that it is. The characters are cliche enough to provide some silly humor the audience can rely on, but we get to go deeper with each character and watch them tackle issues - sexism, homophobia, racism, this world does have a lot of problems, you know - that are overlooked in the average sitcom. Overall, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a great show, especially if you’re having a bad day and need a laugh. NINE-NINE!

logline: Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a workplace comedy centered around Brooklyn, New York’s 99th police precinct, its 6 detectives, their captain, and his assistant.

My favorite characters:

  • Andy Samberg as Jake Peralta - even though he is literally a child, jake is such a sweetheart. i love how he and gina have been best friends for basically their entire lives, just like how andy and chelsea were best friends when they were little.

  • Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti - the human form of the 100 emoji. queen g is TRULY an icon. The way peretti delivers her lines is just too freaking good. Her one-liners are just *chef’s kiss*.

This show is rated TV-14. Here’s why:

  • Sexual References

  • Mild Violence

  • Language

Something I liked: Any of the “title of your sex tape” joke. I know, I know, it’s just a sex joke, but for some reason, they always make me laugh so hard. click here for a compilation. (WARNING: spoilers in the video)
