first bite was interesting! the concept was something that i would love to see more of in the horror industry. it shows the side of zombies that we don’t really get to see, which is the transformation. watching alex try to resist her urges for human flesh made you feel a kind of sympathy for her that you wouldn’t normally feel for a (soon-to-be) zombie. the ending left me hooked! i wish there was a continuation/sequel. it was on the shorter side, which made me kind of sad because with a longer runtime, the film could have gone more in depth with the whole concept and fleshed (haha, FLESHed, get it?) out the character more. overall, the first bite was a good watch, and if you’re into metal and zombies, make sure you check it out at the link below!

there’s no official rating for this film, but it’d probably be rated R. here’s why:

  • Intense Gore

something i liked: the vibe of the whole film was cool! it was very ominous and dark, which fit in perfectly with the storytelling. the metal music in the background was also a nice touch, and it didn’t overpower the dialogue or distract from the plot.
